Firearms Training

Firearms training for law enforcement demands more than mastering the fundamentals of marksmanship. It also must include a clearly defined set of priorities to guide police officers in the use of firearms. With guidance from firearms expert Greg Lee, this course will teach officers ways to master and maintain an appropriate level of combat accuracy under realistic time-constrained conditions; empowering them to perform quickly and efficiently without sacrificing safety.

OVERVIEW

THE INSTRUCTOR

Range preparation is essential for maximizing your time on the range, allowing you more practice to perfect your skills. Join firearms training expert Greg Lee as he discusses range safety and suggests strategies for getting the most out of your firearms training.

COURSE OUTLINE:

  • SAFETY BRIEFING

Firearms safety in the home, classroom, and on the range

  • UNDERSTANDING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TARGET PRACTICE AND FIREARMS

Firearms training on the range is meant to prepare officers for the lethal threats they face on the street-- our attitude and approach should be focused to reflect that.

  • PLANNING YOUR TRIP TO THE RANGE

Familiarizing yourself with the schedule, packing the appropriate firearms and equipment, dressing appropriately, using a checklist, and more

  • GETTING THE MOST FROM TRAINING ON THE RANGE

Techniques to practice at home to improve your performance on the range.

  • SHOWING UP ON TIME

When you are late it delays everyone else on the range and reduces the amount of training that can be done.

  • CLEAN UP

Once training is complete there is still work to be done.

  • CONCLUSION

Preparation is the key to making any training successful.
